And what a Beautiful Day!
I started about 4:20 this a.m. to get the Sourdough going. Yeah. Painful.
But, there is something so satisfying in reaching into the spice cupboard and cooking with herbs grown in our own garden. This a.m. it was sprinkling them into the moussaka lentil mixture. I still get a kick out of it.
But it is a good thing it's growing season again. Out of everything we have grew last year except Lemon Balm, Stevia, Basil and Horehound. In fact the Horehound I have an abundance of.... will have to remedy that in the fall. Wait - by then we'll be buried in it. Oh well -
So , I can finally get out of the kitchen. My portion of the menu should be done-let's.see
1. Vegan Moussaka in the oven.Check.
2. Chocolate Pie in the fridge. Check. 3. Sourdough Bunny Tails in the basket. Check.
(at least that's what I am calling the rolls as they didn't rise too much but they are tasty).
Soon it's over the woods to Nana's house we go --- for Easter dinner.
